Pass It Along, Pray!!

I got this wonderful idea from The Goat, and thought how could I help spread this powerful idea?
I know that everyone is different in how they pray...
I usually pray silently, but always enjoy when someone asks me to share a prayer out loud.

My wheels are still turning on how I can get a prayer group going,
and thought that you should be thinking about how you can participate too.

Whether you decide to pray with a group or individually
Who couldn't benefit an extra prayer or two??

For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."
Matthew 18:19

Please pass this along in one way or another, step out of that comfort zone and show your faith!
Keep me posted in how you will be honoring this day!

Loyalty!!

Anyone who owns a dog knows how a dog is much more then a dog;
they become your family!!!
Fourteen years ago my childhood dog Carly had a litter of 12 puppies,
we were allowed to keep two of them.
My sister chose Alli and I chose Molly.

Well, without going into great depth and sorrow,
my family had to put down Alli.
She was a loyal, loving dog who made our lives greater!
She lived a long, happy life and is now no longer suffering.
I believe that all dogs go to heaven and Alli will be reunited with my sister Megan.

Remember to love your dogs a little more,
their time on Earth always seem to never be enough!

Oh My......A Little Treasure!

Oh my, I was looking at my old posts that I never finished from last year
( I was fed up with my old slow computer, so I took a break until we got our new computer)
and I was surprised to see these precious pictures!!
I can't believe how time has gone by sooo fast and how she can change sooo much!

I couldn't resist posting
M is 12 months old in these pictures.
Jake took a day off to play in Laguna with M and me.
This was a beautiful day!

M is telling the Summer to slow down, we are having too much fun!

Can't wait to take her back to Laguna this summer!!

The Scrap About Me!

This little scrap is an award that I decided to accept from my dear friend Tawny.
It is to list 10 honest scraps about yourself...
here I go.

I am experiencing picture problems, why won't they show and stay?????!!!!!!!
I have spent too much time on this scrappy post to ditch it, so please bear with me!!

1. When I am tired I pick my mascara off my eye lashes, it drives my family crazy, but that's what I do.
Always have and always will!
I also put on fake lashes for special occasions!

2. I have horrific spelling skills, yeah I admit it, and I am a teacher.
I just tell students to tell me, how do you think you spell it?
Sound it out!
My Mom, husband and students all know it.
I need spell check to survive!
(I stole this one from you Tawny, but it is the truth.)

3. I have a hard time saying no.
If you ever need anything done, just ask me and I won't turn you down.
Can you say sucker?  Probably
But I do honestly enjoy helping others.
I am a people pleaser!
Seen the movie 27 Dresses? That could be me!

4.  I hate confrontation....
If my Dad were reading this, he would make me say.." I strongly dislike" confrontation!!!!!
I dodge it like the plague.
I sometimes have my mom call for me with important phone calls because she is not afraid to stand up and speak how she feels, thanks mom!

5. I am spoiled! My mom and I have a pedicure appointment for every other weekend, all year round!
Yes, whether rain or shine, hot or cold, my toes always look good!
I tried going without, but I can't do it.
I am a lucky girl.

6. If money grew on trees.....
I would be an interior decorator!
Love, Love, Love Design!

7. I don't eat red meat or pork!
I haven't had that since the summer of my Junior year
over 12 years ago.
( I went completely vegetarian for a year, but stopped)

8. I don't do caffeine....
No soda, tea, coffee, etc.
Call me crazy, but once I stopped I couldn't go back.
I also don't do artificial sugars/sweetners.
I do miss my diet coke days, but can't go back. I was addicted!!!
I do do chocolate, that is a natural caffeine (I say it is)
I like to add oranges to my glasses of water.
Mineral/ sparkling water is a favorite too!

9.  Before I go to bed I do weird leg exercises...
leg lifts or donkey kicks
It is my "last chance workout".... it gets my jitters out.

10. I eat my grilled cheese with ketchup and mustard.
Does it sound disgusting? Don't judge it until you try it!
I also order grilled cheeses from In-and-Out, it is a cheeseburger without the meat,
sooo yummy!

11. I am doing an extra one!!!!
I can't get all my pictures up to finish this scrap!!!
Sorry if you can't see it....
I am working on it!!!
I am not completely computer savvy, it is a work in process

Do you have any similarities? Or am I just weird?
Or do you have suggestions for my non appearing pictures?

Belated Easter

Life is busy...
so here is late post on Easter, but hey, it is worth sharing!

I took a few pre- Easter pictures like I did last year.
Well, I put her in the same spot,
had a few of the same props,
the same blanket,
the same bunny ears,
 but I forgot one thing...
I had a different girl!!
She wasn't the little girl who could only sit there,
the girl who was content with playing with the plastic eggs,
or the little girl who would smile at any funny/silly noises that her mommy made behind the camera.
I had a 20 month old beautiful girl who made me work for these pictures.
(I am not complaining just stating my challenge.)
****Sorry if the pictures seem dark, they are in some.***

Here is what I got and some from last year,
She sure has changed and become even more beautiful!

Easter weekend
We had an untraditional Easter,
but I wouldn't change it!!
We celebrated Saturday night with both parents
 the  In-Laws and the Out-Laws
(If you don't know the Out-Law story....
it is all in fun that we call Jake's family the Out-Laws,
we call them that and they call themselves that now too)
M got spoiled......
(surprise, surprise, being the only grandchild and a girl)
Both families went over board,
it was the Easter of Minnie Mouse.
M loves Minnie...she calls her Ninnie.
She practices saying Ninnie daily because they are on her Huggie diapers.
She will point to her diaper and say Ninnie....
not wiennie...NINNIE!

Here are a few pictures before the battery went out on the 1st camera.

This was just from the In-laws. She received another ton from the Out-laws.
This Donald Duck sang a song, but when you pick him up by the ears he says
"Put me down!!!!! aha aha aha"
M thought that was pretty funny.

We hid a few eggs and inside the plastic eggs were key chains with different characters,
she had fun with TT trying to find them all.

Easter
Sunday morning we were packing for San Diego.
I watched Harvest's service on the internet,
(we were busy, I felt a little guilty, but I still got the message,
we are so fortunate that Jesus died for us!)
Crystal Lewis performed,
she is always amazing!!!!!

We were staying at Jeff and Jenn's for part of Spring Break and wanted to get there as soon as possible.
We had a fun dinner
we made our own pizzas...
far from traditional Easter dining, but much better!
We enjoyed some time at the park,
played a little rock band,
and were in great company!

More pictures of Sun Diego to follow..stay tuned

A Beautiful Day

A beautiful day at the beach, with an even more beautiful friend!
It is not easy to get out to Seal Beach to see your best friend,
but when you do, it is worth it in so many ways!!
I wish Lisa lived closer, but we can understand why she lives at the beach.
Our surfer girl/ Auntie and the family spent a wonderful day catching up, eating, and enjoying the day.
Unfortunately the wind was a little too cold, so we didn't get to go in the water this trip.
Jake took us to his favorite Hawaiian restaurant,
The Loft (in Hunnington),
I would highly recommend this place, it is not fancy, but super yummy!
Lisa got to love M while we gabbed away!
We all enjoyed the weather and scenery.
It was a beautiful day, thanks Lisa!!
Madeline sees the ocean and says "wa wa" for water.
She kept pointing to the water with her huge smile and new vocabulary,
it is going to be a fun summer!

M needs some shades....we left hers in the car.
 Auntie Lisa has her covered!
Those look cool too!
Much better, the girls picture is complete!
Life is sweet!!!

Spring Thing

Spring is here and I am feeling a little...
vintage!
I started to look around my house and found several new items that look old.
This Spring my thing is the old or vintage feel.
Some of you might not know that I used to work at an antique store when I was in high school and have an appreciation for the old or should I say classic.
I might also inform you that I have an attraction to....
dishes, glass ware, and really anything that helps make a home beautiful and special.
You should have seen me registering when Jake and I were getting married.
I drove him crazy, we had to leave once and come back later.....
all I can say is Jake knew what he was getting in to and he still decided to marry me!
(Thank goodness he did, I couldn't imagine life without him)

These orange juice glasses are little treasures I bought while I worked at Emma's Trunk in Redlands, this store was owned by my Auntie Sue and Uncle Bill, but closed awhile back.
I also pulled out these antique color bowls, they look like Fiesta ware, but are made by Bauer.
These were a wedding present from my Auntie Sue and Uncle Bill.
These bowls are bright and cheery...
they make me happy.

I found these glasses that look like depression glass, but it is Pottery Barn. I couldn't decide on a color so I bought a few in each color. Happy Easter to me!

This bight hand towel is from Crate and Barrel, my mom picked this up for me.
I am loving the bight fun colors, especially orange.
What color or colors are you drawn to?

This spring I have also noticed a new line called Liberty of London
It is a new line at MAC make-up and at Target.
Again, my mom spoiled me, and got me this adorable make-up bag
inside she placed a beautiful eye shadow and blush.
The packaging is even ready for Spring.

Target, can't go to Target and not spend extra money, right?!
Well these little bowls called my name.
We know which sections to not walk by, but yet we still do it anyway.
They are black and white on the outside and yellow on the inside....fun!
They had several other floral prints on cups and plates, but I controlled myself.

These little earrings are truly vintage, they belonged to my husband's grandmother Mary.
My Sister in law, Jenna, thought they looked like me and decided that I should have them...awe, sweet!! They are adorable with the pearls and turquoise..I love them!
They are one of a kind.

What is your Spring thing?
Something old?
Flowery?
Colorful?
New?
I would love to hear it!
