I Can Fly!!!

This weekend was the Air show in Riverside at our small airport.  Our dear friends, the Josselyn's, now have a hangar for their Bonanza plane and decided to have a little party. Jake drove his 71 El Camino and parked in front of the hangar with the rest of the car crew. There were many planes that were beautiful and loud, but none could compare to the F18's roar. My school is literally less than half a mile from the air port and the F18's decided to put on a show Friday while my class was inside. Oh man, I thought the plane was going to fly straight through my portable, but it was maybe 500ft above our class. I was told that the first graders were outside at recess and it made them cry because the ground was shaking too.  These planes are pretty amazing, and it was amazingly difficult to get my class back in focus.

I brought ear plugs for M, but the F18s never got up while we were there, due to the high winds.
Dave trying to get M to sit inside with her friend Ellie.
Daddy had to help, it was almost nap time too

Zoning out before the nap

The infamous crossed feet.

The Bonanza

M is ready to try it again, she is well rested

This is the cheese face, we tell her to say "cheese" when we take her picture, and this is what we get....scrunched nose.

She will definitely be up for an adventure!
Thanks Dave for letting her touch all the buttons.

This Diamond Ring......

This diamond ring still shines for me and forever more! Five years ago I married my best friend, and this October we will have been together for ten years!! I have never been happier, and am truly blessed!!!

This diamond ring belonged to Jake's Grandmother Mary, who was married for 52 years to Jake's Grandpa Pete before she passed. They had an amazing marriage and I feel so lucky to wear her ring.  When Jake purposed to me, he told me that his dad wanted me to have it and his sister felt the same (yes, that made me cry, and I still get goose bumps thinking about it).  I could not have asked for a more perfect ring, this is exactly what I wanted...it was meant to be!!!

Uncle Doug marrying us at the Mission Inn.

May Jake and I be as blessed as they were, and have 52 years or more together!

Twenty Nine!!!!!

Twenty Nine....and looking so fine!
Well February is over which means the birthday madness is over too!
All the women in our family, except Madeline, have February birthdays...
so we celebrate all together!

Jake loves February because of all the birthdays and Valentine's Day...his wallet not so much, but
his birthday is March 9th and he usually is not mistreated. Here are some pictures that should have been posted a few weeks ago, but you know how it goes...

M checking out Daddy's cake.

I wonder what he is wishing for?
M got her wish, CAKE!!!
A family pic at my spaghetti dinner the night before my birthday.
It is getting to be a challenge to catch M to take a picture of her.

A picture of the cake for all the b-day girls in February.
We had such a nice time with the Hutchinsons!! They had us all over for a yummy dinner to celebrate the birthdays. We had a blast, I have seriously not laughed that hard in such a long time!

Kade and Evan let M play video games with them.

VICTORY!!!!!
These two boys might look funny, but they are the sweetest ones I know!!!

They even took a break to have some tea!
