6 Months Old

Six months old, half of a year....
Max is still a happy and spoiled boy.
( He is held a lot by me, but I only get to do it for a short while and it is Summer.)
Max is getting better at entertaining himself.
He sits on the floor and puts his arms in front of him on the floor, and begins rocking forward.
He doesn't crawl yet, but he is building some muscle since he weighs 20 pounds (as of August 20th).
We took him to the doctor for his shots and these were his stats:
length:  26.57 inches  70%percentile
head circumference: 44cm  85% percentile
weight: 19.2 lbs. 88% percentile
He got a set of shots and he really had a rough few days recuperating.
Still no teeth, although we see them through the gums in the top front.
What he is up to:
talking/ yelling loudly
rolling more often
almost the army crawl, he gets his booty up and does the worm
loves putting toys in his mouth
loves playing/ watching his sister too
This past month Max got to go to Vegas for his first time.
It was a quick trip.
He did pretty good in the car, since he really didn't sleep more than an hour.
I wish I could insert his cute voice in this picture.
Poolside at the Hard Rock Hotel.

He got to play with his bud Bronson.
A little blurry, but cute.

Have you seen Max?
He blends in with his camouflage

He has become such a big boy, not so much a baby.
Playing in his car/ walker and sitting in a high chair.

Hanging out with Dad at the computer.
He is already hooked at a young age.
He loves the water and Madeline loves that they can take baths together.
First time with rice cereal.

He didn't completely reject it, he played and ate some of it.
To compare Madeline and Max, this is Madeline at six months.

At Brandon's first annual memorial fundraiser.
Wearing a shirt that is red and has cars on it for Brandon.

Dad put these stackable cups on him.
He didn't seem to mind.
Another Disneyland trip and
we got the silhouettes done of the kids.
He also had apple sauce for the first time there.
It was a bit tart for him.
More Bronson time.......
their faces are priceless.
I could create several captions for their expressions.

The past 6 months

It wouldn't be complete without a picture with Madeline, even if it is with crazy hair.

Madeline's "Free"

Madeline Elizabeth is three years old, or as she would say "free"!
We didn't do the usual big party, we just had a small dinner party.
The theme was "Americana" for our all American girl.

Mason jars, bandanas, Levi pockets, and Cracker Jacks.
We had Smokey Canyon cater the dinner,
(They are in Canyon Crest, we highly recommend them.)
It was DE-licious!!!
Corn bread, honey butter, coleslaw, beans, fruit salad, brisket, chicken, and yummy BBQ sauces.
Coke in a bottle, Hangar 24, root beer, and lemonade to drink.
The table minus a few...
We love and appreciate everyone so much!!
We are blessed to have you in our lives!!!
Grandma and Max match.
Bronson, Max's best bud.

Madeline with her besties...Emma and Charli.
She can't get enough jumping time these days.

Jenna( TT) and Max
Madeline totally getting Grandpa with the bubbles.

We had had s'mores too. A classic summer treat.
Thanks Grandpa for toasting the marshmallows perfectly!
Ok, memory lane for me and any others who are about my age.
Do you remember the Barbie named Peaches n' Cream?
The beautiful pastel orange gown, boa, and jewelry ????
Well, I had her and loved her!
( I believe I still have it too, just need to dig a bit more in the garage.)
This Barbie was made again to replicate the original from 1985.
I couldn't resist getting M her own so she could create memories with her.
It has been all about the Barbies around here.
As a side note, this Barbie is also the Hallmark Barbie ornament this year.
Someone we know will be getting that for Christmas.
Here is a pic of it in the box before we let her open it.
She got so many nice things, she is a LUCKY girl!!!

Uncle Jeff and Aunt Jenn, shouldn't have done this....
although it is GREATLY appreciated
and it will be going into her college account that Grandma started!

On Sunday, the night before her birthday
we had another dinner with Great Grandma and Great Aunt Kathy.
This time it was a Repunzel theme.

Great Grandma and Max

She is my girl...she can't waste any frosting
Who is this big boy all of sudden?

Monday August 1st, her actual birthday......
First Daddy and M went to get donuts!
Later we had lunch with Grandma at Back Street.
It is tradition to eat turkey sandwiches the night before, but this time we made an exception.

It was hot outside!
