Disneyland

Max's first trip to Disneyland and our first as a family of four.
It was a hot day and kinda crowded, but the kids were troopers!
We spent some time at both parks, and enjoyed our day!

We had lunch and Max napped.
Madeline being cheesy.

Watching the duckies in the water.

Hi Sebastian.....see you soon at your new attraction!
I tried to get a pic with her in front of Ariel in her Ariel t-shirt....
didn't happen, next time.
She wanted to see Mickey and we did!!!
She was a brave girl again (with Mommy's help)
The next pictures are of Madeline slowly giving Mickey a hug.
For those who really know her,
she does not give out hugs freely.
Slowly
Closer
Okay, quick!!
She's done.....
see ya later Mickey!
Thanks!!
Cinderella's Castle, as M would say.
It was pretty bright without glasses...
don't mind the squinting!
It was hot, so we stopped and had a treat.

Max had a little scratch on his foot this morning
and Madeline insisted on giving him a bandaid.
All we had in the house was princess bandaids,
sorry Max, Ariel is really cool!

Max is 6 weeks tomorrow.
Madeline is 2 years and 8 months tomorrow.
Amazing how fast the time is going,
but we are loving every minute of it!
I would have to report back to work tomorrow,
but I am taking more time.

One Month

Max has blessed our lives for one month.
We might have less sleep, but we are happier than ever.
He is a happy baby, especially while being held or bounced around. Yes, I am guilty of holding him instead of putting him down. He is just too sweet to put down.  Max is doing well eating.....sometimes it seems like that is all he wants to do. He is gaining weight and getting taller. His newborn clothes are fitting better. He seems so much smaller than Madeline, but he really isn't. Max is very strong. He can hold his head up pretty well. When we hold him, he arches his back and looks all around and at the lights.

Madeline is still doing great. She is testing the waters like any two and a half year old would do. She knows I can't catch her as quickly because I am usually holding Max. She must have a hearing problem, I think it is called "selective hearing." She is still a big helper and enjoys running to go get diapers or whatever I might need. She has a pretend baby that she has named Max too. She changes her baby's diapers, swaddles him, bounces him, and loves him just like her mom does with her brother. I am lucky she is adapting to this big change so well. She truly loves her brother. Every morning she wakes up and tells him so. Her nicknames for him are "sweet" ( for sweetie), buddy, bud, and little guy. She even uses a high pitch voice to talk to him....it is funny and cute. We are still working on gently kissing or holding him, she can't contain her love for him.

St. Patrick's Day

We did professional pictures on his one month birthday. Pictures will be posted later.
