Oak Glen

This year, 2010, we went up to Oak Glen earlier than normal.
Normally we go close to Halloween, but we went late September to pick apples and raspberries.
We went with the best neighbors: The Robles.
It was a gorgeous day,
a day too nice to not blog about.
Madeline chose her shoes, Nemo.

In front of raspberries, just not looking at the camera.

We were walking and found Emma's hair bow,
it was just hanging there.

She wanted to be held the whole time

We saw deer, but couldn't get too close. Those deer were fast!

Kristen, Luke, Emma, and Luis

We had a yummy lunch outside and had a country band playing music.
This was our view.
We fed deer, their food looked like little corn nuts.

We had a great time!
Can't wait to go back again.
Being in Oak Glen was so relaxing,
great food and great friends!

Cinderella

We already knew we had a princess at our house, but Madeline became Cinderella or "Norella", as she says it.  She had the gown, the wand, shoes that lit up, a tiara, and necklace. We had a great time decorating, finding pumpkins, and watching Kelly's "Disney's Halloween (Brain Washing) Movie."

Halloween morning, we went to a car show held at EverGreen Cemetery. We got to see Jake and Papa's car along with the whole family.

Madeline says: "Rock on!"

Later that night we saw the Hutchison's.
It has become a tradition that we see them every Halloween since Evan was at least in Pre-school. Evan is now in 3rd grade (ahhh..time is moving too fast!)

2009
After we saw "the boys" we went trick or treating with the Robles family.
Their kids did great, Madeline not so much.

We tried trick or treating, but Madeline was not having it. She cried and acted like a true princess.
"Hold me, hold me, no walk!"
Emma, I mean Tinker Bell,  did a fantastic job.

Before Halloween we did a few projects.
We made cupcakes together and Madeline helped with the sprinkles.
Can you tell she loves cupcakes?

Jake and I had a fun grown-up Halloween this year.
We got to party at the Paino/ Mercadefe Halloween Extravaganza without kids.
I was 23 weeks pregnant and a flapper. Jake was a .....
one- night stand.
Madeline saw her Mommy and Daddy getting ready so  she decided to join in too,
but do real princesses even need an excuse to dress up and wear their fancy shoes?

We got spiders on our toes too......
the picture makes them look like blobs, but they are spiders.

This a picture of Madeline leaving with Jake in the morning.

Halloweens from the past.

Next Halloween 2011, we will have another little pumpkin to dress up!
Maybe Jake will let me make him our little Prince.

Ice Ice Baby

We were lucky enough to get a late Christmas present from Nana, Papa, and TT to go see "Disney on Ice". Madeline loved it, and we enjoyed it too! We had great seats and Jake was able to capture some neat shots.  The music was fun and Madeline knew most of the characters and princesses! It was too much fun hearing her say their names and  pointing with excitement.
P.S. I will be working on past holiday pictures soon!
Sorry they are out of chronological order.

Princess Belle
Princess Tia and Navine
Princess and the Frog
Lilo and Stitch
(aka: Dinosaur, what she calls stitch)
She loved 3 Story
(aka: Toy Story)

Thank you for an unforgettable time!
