Madeline's Two

Well this is a belated post, but it is a GREAT BIG SPECIAL post to our family!

Madeline turned two on August first!

The girl loves fishies, so it was done.......

Under the Sea theme it was!

I had fun finding things that were either blue or orange, but even more fun watching my girl be the happy little girly girl that she is.

This was on our door step when we woke up in the morning.

If you can't tell, it is practically life-size.

This is what the note read.

Steve sure does have familiar hand writing...

Just remember Josselyns, pay back is fun!

Good morning birthday girl!

I put her in her dress from last year's party, and it still fit.

Don't ask about the pose,

she just does them naturally.

The year before, only 1 year old.

My mom and Lauren did the adorable mermaids and helped print everything out.

Jake got himself a present on Madeline's Special day.

Grandma helped her on her new tricycle. 

It is a reproduction of an old plane.

It is pink and perfect.

My mom and dad gave me my first tricycle when I was two 

and they carried on that tradition for Madeline.

Beach Time

The girls (Jenna, Madeline, and I) took a little trip to the beach. We went to Corona Del Mar or as my mom would call it "The Mommy Beach." It was really nice to smell the ocean air and feel the freezing cold water on our feet.

This Summer Madeline still needs a little more time to warm up to the water. She hung out in the sand 98% of the time.

She did not like the water coming up to her, but quickly got over it as the water returned to the ocean.

Still keeping an eye out for the next little wave.

We had a great time, can't wait to go back!

Vegas Baby!

Jake, Madeline, and I went on little trip to Vegas baby.  Jake has been going to Vegas once a month to help out his company, but he has always gone by himself.  Now that it is Summer we got to travel with him. The girls got some time to play during the day while he worked. Vegas was not exactly kid friendly, but we found ways to make it fun. 

We stayed at Treasure Island, Madeline is becoming quite the model for mommy, this is her new favorite pose.

This is front of the "show" which she had a love hate relationship with.  Loved to see it, but hated the noise and parts that scared her. For 4 days all she would say is "show" 

We spent some time in the pool. I thought we would be low key, but everyone was staring at us or should I say Madeline. People would admire how cute she was...

We went to the Mirage and said hello to the dolphins, lions, and tigers.

The dolphin is looking right at us.

She is growing too fast.

August first she is going to be 2.

Being in Vegas with an almost 2 year old is more difficult then partying it up with the best of them.

It is hard to believe that the first picture was from December 2009 and

the ones bellow are from June 2010......

6 months and look at how they have changed.

So happy that Madeline has such a sweet, kind, beautiful, and smart friend.
